2025 RHR Summer Camp

We’re offering a week-long outdoor summer camp on our property for kids age 3-8.

Because this is an outdoor event, it is weather and smoke dependent. Well-being of the kids comes first.

Where

We have a fully-fenced in 2.5 acre plot. Our site contains:

  • An orchard, including a large cherry tree that provides great shade
  • A greenhouse and plant nursery
  • Food and flower gardens
  • Walking trails
  • Small wildlife pond
  • Rock labyrinth
  • Tree house with slide
  • Tire swing
  • Fun hideouts in the manzanita and tree canopies

Daily Schedule

  • 9:00 Drop-off
  • 9:00-10:00 Movement/games
  • 10:00-10:30 Snack Time
  • 10:30-12:00 Activity
  • 12:00-1:00 Lunch and unstructured play (e.g., color, lay in the hammock, listen to music)
  • 1:00-1:50 Activity
  • 2:00 Pickup

Costs

  • $200 ($300 for two kids)
  • OR volunteer for a day as camp counselor (we’ll coordinate with you on days)

Activities

Planned activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Giant bubbles
  • Nature walks
  • Nature-focused art (leaves, rocks, flowers)
  • Making a scarecrow
  • Making fake wasp nests to scare away carpenter bees
  • Ice cream making
  • Outdoor skills
  • Cooking over a fire
  • Water play
    • “Will it float?”
    • Sprinklers
    • If we get approval from our neighbor, we will have a day where we take a walk to wagon creek and play in the water.

Notes

  • You’ll need to pack snacks and lunch for your child(ren). We’ll have a cooler and box at the drop-off area to hold these items.
  • Please put sun screen on your child before drop-off.
  • We have several shade trees and will have at least one shade tent.
